    Description

Lake Kohangapiripiri is a shallow coastal lake located in Greater Wellington’s East Harbour Regional Park on the south coast. Due to its natural state, the lake supports a wide range of native plants and animals, including a number of threatened species. It is one of the few remaining catchments in New Zealand where introduced freshwater fish have not been recorded (source www.lawa.co.nz).
