Description

Ōtautari (Lake Camp) is located in the Ashburton Lakes region, to the north of the braided Rangitata River system. It was formed by significant glacial forces many thousands of years ago. The lake is 44 hectares in size, has a maximum depth of 13 m and is considered to have moderate nutrient and biomass levels (source www.lawa.co.nz).
