Mā tātou e tuaritia te mātauranga — sharing cultural knowledge
As part of a Wairarapa wai/water wānanga series, Kohunui Marae kaitiaki hosted Lakes380 researchers in the summer of 2021. Mā tātou e tuaritia te mātauranga — sharing cultural knowledge (above) provides an insight into the making of the Wairarapa Moana Kete Pūrākau collection of lake stories, while sharing scientific knowledge — mā tātou e tuaritia te pūtaiao (below) presents findings from the scientific analysis of Lake Wairarapa sediment cores and water samples. These two pieces provide a complementary weaving of knowledges – scientific and local, cultural and intergenerational.
