Congratulations to Lakes380 students Mailys Picard and Katie Brasell who were recognised last week at the 11th #INTECOL – International Wetlands Virtual Conference for their amazing research. Mailys was awarded the Best Oral Presentation for her talk comparing pigments and DNA approaches for measuring cyanobacteria in lake sediment cores, and Katie was awarded the NZ Freshwater Sciences Society Best Student Paper for her research on microbial responses to large earthquakes in Lake Paringa.
